 Transportation
Depending on where your planning on going, different transportation may be preferred. Some people like to take road trips and just drive off for many hours and enjoy every minute of it, while other hate it and make the decision to fly. Then there's the over seas, either you can fly across the oceans or maybe if you want to try something new, thin about taking a cruise and experiencing things from a different view. each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Cruise
advantages:
- something new
- possibility of seeing water animals
- good service (food, entertainment etc.)
disadvantages:
- slower
- sea sick?
- possibility of thinking of the movie titanic too much!
Flying
advantages:
- fast
- rather easy to do
disadvantages:
- not very good food
- uncomfortable (unless of course in first class)
- no movable space
Road Trip
advantages:
- spending quality time with friends\family
- getting to stop where ever and when ever
- your own time limit
disadvantages:
- driving yourself
- being stuck in a small vehicle

So there's a couple things that matter when traveling that you might not think of right at first. Before you even begin the journey to where ever it may be how about figuring out your flights. Nobody wants to take an airline that doesn't make them feel comfortable, or that isn't affordable. Therefore; figuring out how your getting to where you want is important, as well as where your going to stay. In some situations people have family members which live where their traveling too, but not everybody has this advantage. For those who don't, you must find an again affordable and comfortable living space to stay in while staying in that country. Depending where you are different things could be offered such as maybe a pool side(or indoor), a gym, kitchen etc. The last big thing is luggage. I know so many people who have this problem every time they travel. So your getting ready and packing your luggage all excited, put all these nice clothes your excited to wear, all of your hair things finally leave and by the time your ready to come home, you've managed to buy so much things that you don't even have enough space to bring it back because you've already stuffed it to the top for the way there. Oh no. If you know your going to go on a shopping trip there why not just bring a couple outfits and just wait until your there?

Memories
This is a very important one. Memories make the entire trip what it is, so the most important things to bring with you is a camera/video camera. As much as I love to see and experience new things, there's nothing better than being able to capture the moment, and in the future being able to take out the photos or the videos and look over what you've done in your past. Memories are a very delicate part of life, not everybody gets the advantage of remembering everything that's happened. Maybe you want to capture that smile you had with a certain someone, because at that moment it was the best time of your life, or maybe you got the chance to see an animal you've never even heard of and it was the most magnificent thing you have ever seen, and it would be a shame to let it be forgotten.
History
Being born in 1995 makes me miss out on a lot of history, well obviously because I wasn't apart of it! Yes we have history class that is mandatory to take in grade 10, but how much better would it be to see things rather than read it out of a textbook or to watch an over exaggerated movie about what happen during certain times. Nobody could react the feeling of people that experienced it except for those who actually experienced it. When I was in Lebanon I got the chance to travel to a village that had an area closed off from the war that happened in 2006, where Lebanese citizens were captured and tortured by Israeli soldiers. When I started approaching the area I already had shivers. Just the way it look, all beaten up and whatnot, I was already imaging what this place was going to look like. You got the chance to go into the shelters and see the rooms people were held in the marks on the walls that they made although, most of the place was bombed down so things were very hard to walk around, lots of barb wire around too. Different countries have their own story, and I'd love to learn and see them.

Reasons to travel
Many different people travel for different reasons, whether its business related, family or just luxury. No matter what reason it is though, the experience cant help but be amazing (I would hope). I'm going to give a break down of a couple reasons in detail why I would like to travel.

Food
In Canada I would have to admit that we have a pretty good wide selections of food to chose from. Being a very multicultural country, people from everywhere around the world open up restaurants and give people of other cultures the chance to see what their food tastes like. The downfall to this though is that well, in my opinion that the food doesn't always taste the way you think it should. From my experience even Lebanese food, my dad cooks it all the time and let me tell you it is amazing! Although, when I went to Lebanon and tried the food there, damn. That's all I have to say, it tasted amazing. Everything just tasted so much more natural, and delicious. So by traveling I hope to be able to taste the amazing food in each country. Each country is a tad different, could be with spices or maybe no meat only rice, maybe I could try something crazy that not very many people here would eat here.

Meeting new people
This is probably one big thing I look forward too, when traveling. When I went to Mexico, I went with my family. Not that its a bad thing or anything but I'm pretty much the only person my age, so I didn't really have anybody to hang out with the same way my brother had my cousin, so I had no other choice but to meet some friends. I ended up doing so, and I met loads of new people, who were so nice in so many ways. Since it was a resort, there were people that flew in from many different countries. One girl I ended up becoming good friends for the time that I was there was from France, and even though it was hard to communicate, doesn't mean it wasn't fun and interesting at the same time.

Traveling to me has importance in more than one way. I feel as if before I die its one thing I would really like to do. My goal is to travel to at least 15 different countries and its a goal that I will for sure complete. Everywhere in this world different things are happening all the time, and I want to be able to travel and see it all with my own eyes, not through a computer/TV screen, or hear it from a radio, but to see it. I wouldn't even mind becoming fat if it meant being able to try every food I could eat, or to learn a bit of couple other languages, why not? I hope in my future to meet someone who has the same desire to travel as I do, that will help this dream of mine become more of a reality. If I could I would drop everything I'm doing and take say what.. a 3 year world trip! Of course though that doesn't sound like something that could happen to most seventeen year olds. Another thing that makes traveling so exciting is the fashion. Every country in the world has their own style, whether were talking about hair, or clothes or maybe even shoes, but no matter what I find that its just always interesting to look at. People take pride in where they're from, and show it off to everyone around them. Being confident is probably one of the most beautiful things, and in some countries that exactly how it is. There's also scenery, depending if the country is hot or cold, you expect to see different things. In my opinion, I'm not a huge fan of the cold, me an him don't really get along, but id be open to suggestions of places i would visit. As for hot countries though, I'm open to seeing any, the sun is definitely my best friend! On the winter break this year ill be having my third trip which will be to Florida. I'm really excited mostly because all the Canadians are going to be stuck in the cold winter, while I'm laying on a beach in the sun getting my tan on, but BESIDES that I'm hoping that it will be a really fun experience.

Germany!

I think my list is over, aha there's too many places I want to visit its not even worth counting anymore. My next place is Germany. When I first started high school I was at Gloucester High School for 2 years and during those two years I got to meet many new people. Many of these new people were ones that had come from foreign countries. They got to stay for a semester some a full year, some even to finish high school  I met people from Mexico, Columbia, France, Germany, Turkey, Somalia, Iran, China etc. Becoming friends with these people definitely made a positive impact on me, and the reason for that is simply equality.. Nobody understands how its like to grow up in system other than the Canadian one (unless of course you weren't born here) and its not always easy. There's different rules, maybe culture is less strict or maybe ALOT more strict. Some are more richer countries that live an easy life, while another might be suffering to eat they're next meal. As I got to know all of them, I started to learn more and more about their countries, and the way they grew up. For instance one of my friends who came from Columbia was telling me about her home life. She had things pretty easy though, she was telling me how the parties didn't start until 1am, and her and her friends parents are all just perfectly cool with them going out drinking and partying.. on the other hand though she was also telling me about how the education sucks there, so her parents wanted her to come here. Its sad though, because she told me how her family has a good financial flow, but not every family in Columbia is financially stable, so imagine although she was able to be sent her to help her, there's loads of children stuck there without the money which make them unable to obtain a good education. Now back to my reason of equality, basically you have no reason to judge someone because you honestly have no idea what life is like half way across the world. Anyways although this doesn't have anything to do with Germany, it has to do with different countries, different lives. If I got the chance to travel there I think it would be pretty cool to check out area of which had things going on during WW2 (museums, land marks, cemeteries) and be able to witness things from my own eyes.

Middle East!

So this time instead of focusing on one country I'm writing about the entire middle east. Being brought up half Lebanese and half French Canadian I've gotten the chance to live parts of both cultures. I celebrate every holiday from both Islam and Christianity which i cant complain about, its pretty awesome. I get to learn and understand both religions, and in my opinion i find has made me a much more open minded person. Both sides of my family are very different. So back to the traveling, the reason i chose all the middle east is basically because as i grew up my dad worked a lot and I only got the chance to learn the basis of my religion and culture: therefore, I believe it would be fun to have the chance to see it all. Every country who is somewhat similar to Lebanon. I have been to Lebanon one time approximately 4-5 years ago, and it was an amazing experience.

-UAE
-Turkey
-Syria
-Iraq
-Kuwait
-Saudi Arabia
There's also other countries that fall into the middle eastern category. I have many friends from the middle east, and every person has their own opinion on their country. I know that in each country the food is entirely different, and the events that happen are also different. Its something that I would love to experience and it would definitely be an honor. Something that I would possibly love to attend in each country is a wedding. Each culture does things differently, and no matter what its always beautiful. No matter how its done the happiness shared on that day, makes every situation beautiful, especially since the countries themselves are warm and gorgeous.
